HC Deb 08 February 1904 vol 129 c586
MAJOR EVANS-GORDON (Tower Hamlets, Stepney)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to the evasions of the Companies Act of 1900, disclosed in the last Report of the Inspector-General, in companies liquidation; and whether he proposes to take any steps to prevent the further issue in this country of companies without prospectus, by which expedient the revenue and the public are defrauded.

A Bill amending the Companies Act, 1900, in this and some other respects is in course of preparation.
