HC Deb 04 February 1904 vol 129 cc355-6
MR. FIELD (Dublin, St. Patrick)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Government will consider the advisability of introducing a Bill to safeguard the town tenants of Ireland in their holdings at reasonable rents, and to prevent the loss of their improvements under the terminable leasehold system.

MR. WYNDHAM

The Government cannot hold out any hope of introducing legislation in the direction suggested in the Question.
