HC Deb 04 February 1904 vol 129 c353
SIR THOMAS ESMONDE

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he can give the House any information regarding the settlement of the Coolegreaney Estate in county Wexford.

* MR. WYNDHAM

Negotiations for the sale of this estate have not yet been closed; they will, it is expected, be very shortly completed. When this desirable end is reached the Estates Commissioners will be in a position to restore immediately some twenty evicted tenants to their former holdings. For others of this class land will be sought elsewhere. The landlord himself restored twenty-five evicted tenants before negotiating with the Commissioners.
