ME. BROADHURST (Leicester)

To ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he can inform the House as to the progress of the efforts made to import Chinese workmen into the Transvaal Colony; whether the Government have been consulted in the matter; and, if so, what decision, if any, the Government have come to regarding these proposals of the mine-owners.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Lyttelton.) I must refer the hon. Member to the Papers which are being published to-day.
