§ MR. LONSDALEI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that there has been a sudden outbreak of smallpox in the city of Armagh, and that the efforts of the local authorities to check the spread of the disease are being hampered by the failure of the Local Government Board to furnish an adequate supply of vaccine lymph; and whether he will take immediate steps to remedy this deficiency.
§ MR. WYNDHAMAn outbreak of smallpox has occured at Armagh. There has been no failure on the part of the Local Government Board to send an adequate supply of lymph. The Board forwarded 1,500 tubes between the 4th and 8th inst., and will continue to supply as many as may be required.
