TULLYI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ire- land whether the attention of the Local Government Board has been drawn to the complaints made in Belfast that the Market Committee of the Belfast Corporation exact a levy, varying from £60 to £100 a year, for the fat extracted from the carcases of the animals seized by the meat inspectors, while no compensation is paid to the owners of the condemned animals; and what steps the Local Government Board propose to take to put an end to this practice.
