HC Deb 04 August 1904 vol 139 c995
MR. ROCHE (Galway, E.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that there are several uneconomic holdings on the property of Clarke minors, at Graig Abbey, Athenry; that Mr. O'Malley, who lives 80 miles away from the place, is endeavouring to purchase 250 acres of grass land on the estate; and whether, in view of the fact that this grass farm adjoins the uneconomic holdings, will he take steps to secure the grass land for distribution amongst the tenants in the neighbourhood who require it.

MR. WYNDHAM

This property, which is solvent, is under the administration of the Land Judge. Mr. O'Malley held the lands referred to under a lease from the Court, and the Land Judge has approved of their sale to him.
