§ MR. J. P. FARRELL (Longford, N.)To ask the Secretary to the Treasury to state the result of his inquiries with regard to Ardandra Castle, in county Longford; and will he now direct that it be scheduled under the Ancient Monuments Protection Act with a view to restoration and preservation.
(Answered by Mr. Victor Cavendish.) I informed the hon. Member, on the 18th February last,† that no such castle is known to the Commissioners of Public Works. I can only repeat the offer I then made to direct inquiry into the matter if the locality is precisely indicated.
