HC Deb 03 August 1904 vol 139 cc720-1
MR. JOSEPH DEVLIN (Kilkenny, N.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether his attention has been drawn to the fact † See page 270. that the regulations laid down by the Irish Fisheries Board have been repeatedly broken by trawlers on the northern and southern shores of Belfast Lough, to the damage of the local fishery; and will he state whether any, and, if so, how many, prosecutions have taken place in consequence, and with what results.

THE CHIEF SECRETARY FOR IRELAND (Mr. WYNDHAM,) Dover

No complaint has reached the Department. The matter, however, is being inquired into.
