HC Deb 01 August 1904 vol 139 c264
SIR CHARLES DILKE

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether, under the Army Council Bill, should it become an Act, Orders in Council relating to the War Department will in future be based on representations from the Secretary of State for War submitted for the approval of the King in Council, made on the advice of the Privy Council, and issued by the direction of the Secretary of State for War; and, if not, what form is in future to be adopted with regard to War Department Orders in Council.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Arnold-Forster.) The reply is in the affirmative. The procedure will be as hitherto.
