§ MR. WEIRTo ask the Secretary of State for India if he will state the number of agricultural banks in India, and 1433 the districts in which they are respectively situated.

Member is referred to the answer given by me to his Question on the same subject on 18th February last.† The Bill to provide for the establishment of agricultural banks has only just become law, and some time must necessarily elapse before its provisions will be practically operative, and before Returns are available of the banks established under it.
