To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether any estimate has been made, and can be given, of the amount of unclaimed dividends and balances in the joint stock banks of the United Kingdom.

(Answered by Mr. Austen Chamberlain.) There is no information before the Treasury on which to make an estimate of the amount of unclaimed dividends and balances in the joint stock banks of the United Kingdom.
