HC Deb 25 April 1904 vol 133 cc1057-8
MR. DELANY (Queen's County, Ossory)

I beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether Sergeant Gallagher, late an officer of the Royal Irish Constabulary, Ballylinan, Queen's County, who has retired on pension, has been appointed to an official position in the Custom House, Liverpool; and, if so, whether he can state upon what recommendation this appointment has been made.

This pensioner has been temporarily appointed to an unestablished position in the Customs at Liverpool on his own application, on the production of satisfactory evidence as to character.
