I beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he proposes to refer the question of the practicability of the graduation of the income-tax to the Committee the appointment of which has been announced.

No, Sir. As I have already staled, the Government do not consider that the question of graduation should form any part of the reference to the Committee on the Income-Tax.
