HC Deb 25 April 1904 vol 133 c1025
MR. WILLIAM REDMOND (Clare, E.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether his attention has been called to a case in which a resident magistrate sitting in petty sessions in Ireland sent a case for trial in opposition to the views of the majority of local magistrates sitting on the Bench with him; and, if so, will he state what action, if any, he proposes to take in the matter.

(Answered by Mr. Wyndham.) The order made in the case referred to was, I am advised, irregular. Notice will at once be served upon the accused that no further action will be taken upon this order by the Crown.
