HC Deb 21 April 1904 vol 133 c842
MR. CHARLES HOBHOUSE (Bristol, E.)

To ask the Secretary of State for War if he will state what will be the total cost of the staffs for the eight administrative districts in the Esher scheme, including general officers in chief, major generals' and brigadiers' staff, besides the officers of the general staff.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Arnold-Forster.) A Committee is at present considering the division of the United Kingdom into commands and administrative districts, and for the decentralisation of duties to those commands and districts, and for the provision of the personnel necessary for those duties. Until the Report of this Committee has been received, I am unable to answer the Question of the hon. and gallant Member.
