HC Deb 20 April 1904 vol 133 cc674-5
MR. CALDWELL (Lanarkshire, Mid)

To ask the President of the Local Government Board whether he is aware that the Board of Guardians of Greenwich on 7th April last, appointed two of their own number as public vaccinators; and, if so, whether such appointments will receive the sanction of the Local Government Board.

(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) The Greenwich Board of Guardians appear to have resolved at their meeting on the 7th instant to enter into contracts with two members of their own body as public vaccinators. I have the question of the approval of these contracts under consideration. I may, however, remind the hon. Member that any person who is concerned in any contract entered into with a board of guardians is disqualified for being a member of such board.
