§ MR. SYDNEY BUXTONI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he can now state the number of Kaffirs at present in what are termed the unemployed shelters in the Transvaal and Orange River Colony; and whether he can give the number of the occupants of these unemployed shelters on the first of each month for the last six months.
§ MR. LYTTELTONI have not yet received the information but hope to do so soon. I have telegraphed to Lord Milner on the subject.
