HC Deb 18 April 1904 vol 133 c356
MR. COGHILL (Stoke-upon-Trent)

To ask the hon. Member for Chorley, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, if he will say what progress is being made with the building of the Victoria and Albert Museum; and at what approximate date will all the different museum buildings of South Kensington be brought to a state of completion.

(Answered by Lord Balcarres.) Good progress is being made with the building of the Victoria and Albert Museum, the work being now up to the first floor level. There is, at present, no reason to think that the buildings of the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Royal College of Science will not be completed by the dates named in the contracts, viz., 23rd February, 190", and 1st June, 1905, respectively.
