HC Deb 14 April 1904 vol 133 c205
MR. JOYCE

I beg to ask the Postmastci-General if he will state how many male and female learners are at present employed at Limerick who are now fully qualified to discharge the duties of sorting clerks and telegraphists; and whether there is any probability of such officers being placed on the establishment within the next twelve months.

LORD STANLEY

There are at present nine male and five female learners employed at Limerick. Four of the male and all the female learners are fully qualified to perform the duties of sorting clerks and telegraphists. It is anticipated that appointments as sorting clerks and telegraphists may be found in the course of the next twelve months for three of the male and for two of the female learners at Limerick.
