HC Deb 12 April 1904 vol 133 c21
MR. BOLAND (Kerry, S.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Department of Agriculture has decided on any scheme to assist such rural district councils as may adopt the Public Libraries Act; and, if so, can he give the details of the scheme.

THE CHIEF SECRETARY FOR IRELAND (Mr. WYNDHAM,) Dover

The Department will consider the application of each district council for assistance on its merits. In suitable cases it will be prepared to make small grants of books on subjects relating to agriculture and technical instruction.
