HC Deb 27 May 1903 vol 123 cc9-10
MR. ELLIS GRIFFITH

To ask the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to the fact that trawling operations are now carried on in Red Wharf Bay, contrary to regulations within the three-mile limit; and, if so, whether he will take such measures as will ensure the discontinuance of the practice.

(Answered by Mr. Gerald Balfour.) No, Sir. My attention has not been called to trawling operations in Red Wharf Bay. The Lancashire and Western Sea Fisheries Committee have made by-laws for the regulation of trawling within their district, and any breaches of those by-laws should be brought to the notice of the Committee.
