§ MR. J. P. FARRELLTo ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether, in view of the increased cost of labour and materials, he will hasten the adoption of the proposal to increase building estimates under plan 6a for the erection of National Schools in Ireland.
(Answered by Mr. Arthur Elliot.) I am not prepared to deal with this question apart from the more general questions 1792 raised in the Report of the Committee on Building Grants, the decision on which will, as I stated on the 21st instant, † be deferred until the inquiry into the present educational system in Ireland is completed.
