To ask the Secretary of State for War whether he will arrange that the balance standing to the credit of the late Private James Murray, formerly a bandsman in the 6th Battalion Rifle Brigade, who died in South Africa some years ago, shall be paid to the deceased soldier's mother, who is living in Longford.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Brodrick.) The information contained in the Question is insufficient to enable the man to be traced. If the hon. Member can forward any further details of the period of his service, and also communicate the addresses of his relatives, further search will be made.
