HC Deb 21 May 1903 vol 122 c1352
MR. WEIR

I beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether the proprietor of the Island of Lewis, Major Matheson, has yet come to terms with the twenty-five applicants for feus for fishermen's dwellings near Stornoway; and, if not, will he state the cause of the delay.

MR. A. GRAHAM MURRAY

I am informed by the Congested Districts Board that they understand Major Matheson is negotiating with the approved applicants for allocation of individual allotments, but that the result has not yet been communicated to them.

MR. WEIR

That fact is stated in the Report of the Congested Districts Board. When may the result be expected?
