§ MR. JOHN CAMPBELL (Armagh, S.)I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury, when he proposes to bring in the Bill to amend certain alleged defects in the law as disclosed by the Whitaker-Wright case.
§ MR. A. J. BALFOURThe Bill has been for some time ready; but my hon. and learned friend the Attorney-General thinks, and I am in entire agreement with him, that it would be most inconvenient to have a discussion on the Bill while the Whitaker-Wright case was pending. It would be impossible to avoid allusion to that case, which, I think, would be most inconvenient, and indeed, improper.
