HC Deb 20 May 1903 vol 122 c1206
COLONEL WELBY (Taunton)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether he has received replies to his inquiries concerning the leasing and management of the remount farms at Clark's Siding, South Africa; and whether he is prepared to make public the circumstances of what took place there.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Brodrick.) The replies have been received. My hon. and gallant friend will be glad, however, to know that the allegations contained in his questions have not been borne out by the facts, and I do not think any good purpose could be served by re-opening the case or making a publication of the proceedings.
