HC Deb 18 May 1903 vol 122 c920
COLONEL WYNDHAM QUIN (Glamorganshire, Mid)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the representations made by the General Officer Commanding the First Army Corps, the Commandants of the Royal Military College and Staff College, and others with reference to the expediency of securing the use of the whole of Old Dean Common for military purposes, he will take steps to prevent the alienation of any portion of the Common for building or other purposes.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Brodrick.) This Question is one which concerns the Office of Woods and Forests, and I would therefore refer my hon. and gallant friend to the full statement made by my hon. friend the Member for Fulham, in reply to a Question put by the Member for the West Division of Newington on the 2nd March, † from which he will see that there is no cause for anxiety on this matter so far as the War Office is concerned.
