HC Deb 13 May 1903 vol 122 c537
SIR CHARLES DILKE

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether he can lay upon the Table the replies of the County Court Judges to the letter addressed to them by the late Secretary of State in reference to the proposed Amendment of the Workmen's Compensation Act.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. AKERS DOUGLAS, Kent, St. Augustine's)

No, Sir, I do not feel able to comply with this suggestion. It was understood that the observations and opinions with which the Secretary of State requested the Judges to favour him more than two years ago wore given confidentially.
