HC Deb 12 May 1903 vol 122 cc415-6
MR. HERBERT SAMUEL (Yorkshire, Cleveland)

To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether any prospective borrowings under the Military Works Acts, Naval Works Acts, Telegraph Acts, and Land Registry (New Buildings) Act will be repaid from sums allotted for the purpose in the Departmental Estimates or from sums allotted to the fixed debt charge.

(Answered by Mr. Ritchie.) Annuities providing for interest and Sinking Fund on the sums borrowed will be charged on the Estimates as hitherto. No part of the fixed debt charge goes for this purpose.
