HC Deb 11 May 1903 vol 122 cc299-300
MR. TREVELYAN (Yorkshire, W.R., Elland)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can give the House any authentic information as to the number of people killed in Salonika by the bombs thrown by the Macedonian insurgents, and by the Turkish authorities in the course of making arrests consequent on the explosions.

LORD CRANBORNE

We have as yet no specific information as to the number of persons killed in Salonika by the bombs thrown by the insurgents. His Majesty's Consul-General at Salonika has come to the conclusion, after personal investigations on the spot, that not more than fifty Bulgarians have probably been killed.
