HC Deb 11 May 1903 vol 122 c303
MR. WEIR

I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board if he will state the number of private establishments in Great Britain where smallpox patients are received.

THE SECRETARY TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. GRANT LAWSON,) Yorkshire, N.R., Thirsk

So far as I am aware there is only one private establishment in England and Wales intended for the reception and treatment of smallpox patients. As regards Scotland, the Question should be addressed to my right hon. and learned friend the Lord Advocate.
