To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty if he will state what repairs are required to the boilers of H.M.S. "Canopus;" and what the cost of the same will be.

(Answered by Mr. Arnold-Forster.) The repairs to the boilers of H.M.S. "Canopus" will comprise the renewal of about 30 per cent. of the economiser tubes, the renewal of baffles of steam collectors and down-comer tubes, and general overhaul of casings, brickwork, etc. The estimated cost of carrying out the necessary work is between £6,000 and £7,000.
