HC Deb 07 May 1903 vol 122 cc14-5
MR. WEIR (Ross and Cromarty)

To ask the Secretary of State for India whether the claims made by Sirdar Balvant Ramchandra, native of Poona, which are set forth in a letter dated 25th August, 1901, addressed to the Secretary to the Government of Bombay, have yet received the consideration promised; and if so, will he state the nature of the decision arrived at.

(Answered by Secretary Lord George Hamilton.) As far as I am aware, the Sirdar has not definitely renounced his intention of having recourse to legal proceedings. The situation, therefore, remains as it was when I answered the Question addressed to me by the hon. Member on the 22nd October last.†
