MR. O'KELLY (Mayo, N)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland if he will state (1) when Mr. Jacob Beckett, J.P., Ballyvary, Castlebar, was appointed to' the Commission of the Peace for the county of Mayo, (2) the number of his attendances at Castlebar Petty Sessions each year since his appointment up to 20th February, 1902, and (3) whether his qualification to vote at the election of Petty Sessions Clerk for Castlebar District is an attendance or a residential one.

MR. WYNDHAM

24th October, 1899. He attended Castlebar Petty Sessions four, six and four times during each of the three years ended 19th February, 1900, 1901, and 1902, respectively. His qualification to vote at the election in question would appear to be on the ground of attendance at Petty Sessions.
