HC Deb 04 May 1903 vol 121 cc1187-8
MR. SHEEHAN (Cork County, Mid)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will explain why the police have taken no steps to arrest the man Sheehan, an escaped lunatic from the Dundrum Criminal Asylum, seeing that the Rathduff police were on Sunday, 19th April, informed of this man's whereabouts.

(Answered by Mr. Wyndham.) The police at Rathduff have had no opportunity to detain Sheehan. They were informed that he was in the locality; inquiry, however, satisfied the police, as well as the informant, that the latter was quite mistaken.
