HC Deb 04 May 1903 vol 121 cc1182-3
Sir THOMAS DEWAR (Tower Hamlets, St. George's)

To ask the hon. Member for North Huntingdonshire, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, whether the Office of Works will arrange to erect a refreshment kiosk in the grounds adjacent to Hampton Court Palace, similar to that already provided for visitors to Kew Gardens.

(Answered by Mr. Ailwyn Fellowes.) The First Commissioner has personally examined the ground at Hampton Court, and is satisfied that abundant facilities for obtaining refreshment already exist within reasonable reach of the Palace, and that there is no necessity to erect a kiosk for that purpose. The matter will be carefully watched, and should it be found that the accommodation is inadequate the First Commissioner will go into the question again.
