HC Deb 31 March 1903 vol 120 cc685-6
LIEUTENANT-GENERAL LAURIE (Pembroke and Haverfordwest)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War if he will state whether the men enrolled for the Royal Garrison Regiment are reckoned among the recruits raised during the past year; and, if so, whether in any calculation of age or physical qualification these men, who have already completed a period of service in the Army, are brought into account.

MR. BRODRICK

No, Sir. The men enrolled for the Garrison Regiment are not reckoned as recruits or included in any calculation as to the age or qualifications of recruits.
