HC Deb 31 March 1903 vol 120 c686
MR. J. P. FARRELL (Longford, N.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether any unpaid gratuities are due to Mrs. Meehan, of Longford, in respect of the death of her son, Private James Meehan, late of the Dublin Fusiliers, who was killed in South Africa; and whether, in view of this woman's circumstances, he will direct a grant to be made to her out of the funds available for that purpose.

MR. BRODRICK

No unpaid gratuities are due in respect of this estate. There are no funds at my disposal from which a grant could be made to Mrs. Meehan.
