HC Deb 30 March 1903 vol 120 c566
MAJOR RASCH (Essex, Chelmsford)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether his attention has been directed to the prices at which stores of all kinds are being sold by the military authorities in the Transvaal; and whether, seeing that similar stores are being brought by the Repatriation Committee from England, he will consider the advisability of transferring these stores from one department to the other.

MR. J. CHAMBERLAIN

Arrangements have been made whereby the Transvaal Government takes over all the stores which it requires for repatriation purposes from the military authorities Nothing is sold by the military authorities I to the general public of which the civil Government has not had the refusal.
