HC Deb 26 March 1903 vol 120 c296
MR. FFRENCH (Wexford, S.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether, seeing that there are still agricultural labourers in Ireland in need of cottages and plots of land, and that the unexpended balance arising out of the grant of 1891 amounts to £58,942 and cannot be used for labourers' cottages, he will consider the advisability of amending the law so as to make this sum of money available for the purpose intended by Parliament.

(Answered by Mr. Wyndham.) The question of the utilisation of this money or a portion of it, is at present engaging attention.
