HC Deb 25 March 1903 vol 120 c170
MR. STUART SAMUEL (Tower Hamlets, Whitechapel)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War if it is proposed to remove the collection of armour from the Tower of London; and, if so, whether he will make arrangements to leave a portion of the collection in the Tower for the advantage of the visitors to that building.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (Mr. BRODRICK, Surrey, Guildford)

No, Sir; it is not proposed to remove the collection of armour from the Tower of London. The responsibility, however, for the care and custody of the arms and armour at the Tower shortly will be transferred to the trustees of the British Museum.
