HC Deb 25 March 1903 vol 120 c169
MR. LABOUCHERE (Northampton)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether a military censorship exists in Somaliland in regard to all Press communications to this country; and, if so, whether this is in order to prevent the Mad Mullah from learning what are the movements of His Majesty's forces.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Brodrick.) A censorship has been established in Somaliland under the usual conditions, the object being to check the dissemination of incorrect reports as to the operations now being carried on.
