§ MR. BUCHANAN (Perthshire, E.)To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether he will state what is the approximate amount issued, during the year ending 31st March, 1903, for the purposes of the Naval Works Acts.
(Answered by Mr. Pretyman.) The following advances have been issued by the Treasury: Midsummer, 1902, 1446 £900,000; Michaelmas, 1902, £748,000; Christmas, 1902, £610,000; Lady Day, 1903, £890,000; Total, £3,148,000. unexpended balance of advances on 31st March, 1902, amounted to £221,404.
