§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (Mr. BRODRICK, Surrey, Guild-ford)The number of officers on half-pay, eligible for employment, who have been compulsorily placed on half-pay amounts to eleven lieutenant-colonels and colonels. The periods during which they have been on that list lie between December 1896 and February of this year. I am not prepared to give any answer to the last part of the Question.
