SIR WALTER FOSTER (Derbyshire, Ilkeston)I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether his attention has been directed to the recent Report of a Departmental Committee on the regulations to be made under the Cremation Act, 1902, and to the views expressed by the Committee as to the defects of the present system of death certification; and whether he will introduce a Bill during the present session to carry out the recommendations of the Select Committee of 1893 on death certification.

The recommendations of the Select Committee on death certification have been under my consideration, but I am afraid I do not see any prospect of my being able to introduce a Bill on the subject during the present session.
