§ MR. SWIFT MACNEILLI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies, how many Boer prisoners of war are at present detained in Bermuda, and under what circumstances are they now detained, and when will they be sent back to South Africa?
§ MR. J. CHAMBERLAINThere are at present eighty-two prisoners of war in Bermuda who have not taken the oath or made the declaration of allegiance under the terms of surrender. They will be sent back to South Africa as soon as they take the oath or make the declaration.
