HC Deb 10 March 1903 vol 119 c255
MR. YOXALL (Nottingham, W.)

To ask the Secretary to the Board of Education how many applications to vary the terms of school trust deeds have been received; how many applications for trust deeds for schools where no trust deeds previously existed; and in how many cases of new trust deeds, or varied trust deeds, approved by the Board of Education, a school formerly undenominational in respect of religious instruction has become associated with the. religious formularies and teachings distinctive of a particular denomination.

(Answered by Sir William Anson.) I assume that the Question refers to the period since the passing of the Education Act, 1902, and to elementary schools and to applications for schemes to amend trust deeds under the Charitable Trust Acts (through the powers transferred to the Board of Education under the Board of Education Act, 1899). The answer to the first and second Questions is that no such applications have been received; and to the third Question that no changes of the nature indicated have taken place.
