HC Deb 09 March 1903 vol 119 cc110-1
MR. LONSDALE (Armagh, Mid)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will explain why this year three only of the six temporary inspectors employed during last year have been appointed to do the work in connection with the inspection of intermediate schools in Ireland; and will he say what steps it is proposed to take to place the inspection of the intermediate schools in Ireland upon a permanent basis.

*ME. WYNDHAM

Only three of the gentlemen employed last year are available this year. A fourth temporary inspector, not so employed, has recently been appointed. The Board is considering the appointment of two others. The whole question of inspection is engaging the attention of the Government.
