THOMAS (Merthyr Tydvil)To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether any Bill has yet been prepared by his Department for placing the cost of military aid rendered to the civil power upon the local authorities for which military assistance may in future be asked; and whether he proposes to introduce such a Bill this session.
(Answered by Mr. Secretary Akers-Douglas.) I have a Bill on this subject in preparation, and I shall be glad if I 85 can find an opportunity to introduce it this session; but I am not able to make any promise.
